Four levels of clarinet service are offered, Basic regulation, Full service, Complete overhaul and Accidental damage.
Repairs are carried out using premium deluxe double-skin pads, premium leather and cork. Higher quality and personal choice of pads can be ordered on spec.
What Have You Got?!
There are 3 main ranges of clarinets, Soprano, Alto and Bass. Common clarinets can be found in the Keys of Bb, A, Eb Soprano and Alto Eb additionally but rarely you might find contrabass and contra-alto clarinets.
1. Basic Regulation
Rebalancing the mechanism for improved instrument response. Recommended every 6 to 12 months.
2. Full Service
Clean body and key work. Replace and re-seat pads as necessary.
Check felts/cork. Springs are replaced as required, re-oiling and regulation.
3. Complete Overhaul
Clean body and key work. Replace all pads, cork/felts and replace springs as required. De-pinning of the mechanism and re-oiling includes a three-month warranty.
4. Accident Damage
The following repairs will require inspection before an estimate can be given.
- Excessive mechanism movement
- Specific pad replacement
- Spring replacement only
- Structural alterations
Estimates are free and a more accurate price will be given on inspection.

Collection and delivery of repairs can be arranged in the area of East Lothian and I provide a courier and postal service for those further afield.
